How to use

  1. Each medication shows a default dose already filled in.
  2. Edit the min and max dose (mg) for any medication if a different dose is required.
  3. Leave min and max the same for a single fixed dose, or set them differently for a dose range.
  4. The mL volume updates automatically based on the formulation strength shown for each medication.
  5. For the Midazolam crisis dose, select seizure, severe bleed, or both, to set the indication wording.
  6. Print or copy the generated label text for each medication.

Pitfalls and drawbacks

Always check the calculated volume against the actual ampoule or vial strength dispensed, formulations can vary by supplier or region. This tool does not replace an independent second check required by local policy for controlled or high-risk medications.
